The thought of teaching abroad was daunting at first, but RVF made everything simple and easy. They answered every question I had, no matter how big or small, and it’s been so reassuring to know I have professionals guiding me along the way.
One of my favorite parts of being in Spain has been how kind and accepting everyone is. I was nervous on my first day since I had little classroom experience, but I was greeted with smiles and support. The staff made sure I felt comfortable and never pressured.
The same goes for the locals, who have been incredibly laid back and helpful. The teachers at my school have already given me tons of restaurant and beach recommendations, and I still need to try a Spanish omelet.
For anyone considering this program, I’d say go for it. It can be challenging to be far from home, but it’s only for eight months, and it’s already flying by. It isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, but it’s absolutely an invaluable experience that’s helping me grow and change for the better.
