I never thought I would come to Spain. I applied to RVF on a whim during my senior year of college, unsure of what I wanted to do.
When I didn’t get the other opportunities I hoped for, I had to choose between taking a typical post-grad job or taking a risk and being adventurous. I chose RVF.
I didn’t speak Spanish, had never been to Spain, and had barely been to Europe, so coming here was a huge leap. But once I arrived in Xàtiva, I instantly loved it. The small city is full of history, charm, and warmth, and the community has been so kind.
My students and teachers have been teaching me Spanish, which makes every day feel like an adventure.
RVF helped me stay open-minded and guided me through every step, which gave me peace of mind and confidence. Choosing Spain felt right, even though it was scary at first.
It has been challenging being away from family, but incredibly rewarding.
Whether you are younger or older, all that matters is that you take the leap to do the thing you want to do. RVF made that possible for me, and they can make it possible for you too.
