Please note that program participants currently placed in the Community of Madrid can only select to renew at the same school, otherwise they must choose to renew in a different Autonomous Community.
If you have participated in a Teach English Program in Spain before this year (any other program, not just with RVF International), please let us know in which region and how many years. Your options will differ from other program participants and may be limited.
After joining, we’ll walk you through the application documents just like when you first sign up, all of which are due by January 24, 2025. The schools and local governments are very strict about the paperwork so keep in mind that failure to comply with the established deadlines and procedures will result in your inability to continue as a renewal participant in the program.
Renewal Preference:
There is no longer a distinction between renewing in the same region or a different region in terms of priority or preference.
Andalucia-Specific Note:
Participants placed in Andalucia are not allowed to renew in this region for another year.
Exception: Only participants in the “Cupo Ministerio” group are eligible to renew at their current school.
This group is identified by placement letters issued by the Spanish Education Ministry.
Their stipend is paid directly by the Ministry.
Positive Evaluations:
To renew, participants must receive a positive evaluation from their current school(s).
The evaluation will be documented using a form that RVF International will provide in January, after it becomes available from the Ministry.

Increased Risk:
Mistakes or missed steps can lead to costly delays, denied applications, or gaps in legal status.
Missing deadlines or incorrectly completing forms may require starting over.

You won’t have access to dedicated help if unexpected challenges arise.
Navigating issues with housing, schools, or legal documents becomes entirely your responsibility.
